FH! Mini Convention for Demos - Imagine the Possibilities!

Yes I know we are all bummed that we cannot make it to the SU! Convention in a couple of weeks. So, you are all invited to the FriendsHappen! Mini Convention 2010 - Imagine the Possibilities. I am hosting a mini convention at my house from July 21-24. You must be a current SU! demonstrator. If you were thinking about joining (password: friendshappen), now's the time!

Check-in will be on Wednesday July 21 at noon & we will have classes, make & takes, swaps, fun, stamping and, of course, yummy food! Please plan on attending & RSVP.

The price will be $50 (includes breakfast & lunch meals and your make & take supplies). You can stay here at my house or you can check in to a local hotel. Just let me know what you prefer.

We will be listening to several audio cds with business tips & our keynote speaker, via audio, will be Belinda Ellsworth. She will be discussing the Power Hour.

Mom and demonstrator, Anne Warman from Barrington, Illinois, has her house on the market, but that didn’t stop her from using the Growth Chart! Her husband trimmed and painted a piece of plywood to place the vinyl on so when they sell their house they can take the Growth Chart wherever they go!

Crushed Curry Creativity
Grandmother and demonstrator, Gail Beezley from San Antonio, Texas, recently bought a new (old) house with a separate studio. In true Stampin’ Up! style, she even painted the walls Crushed Curry! Gail says, “I fell in love with the Growth Chart and had to have it for my studio. I can’t wait until my granddaughter comes to visit so I can take a picture of her with it.”

This Idea Really Measures Up
Lisa Clark thought beyond the traditional use of the Growth Chart and created a ruler for her craft room. She cut out the ruler, then cut out the inch marks and adhered just the measurement marks to the edge of her counter. She then added the foot and half foot markers back in. Lisa uses this unobtrusive ruler to trim ribbon lengths, make quick measurements of scraps, visualize layouts, and more. When asked about the other pieces of the Growth Chart that she didn’t use, she says, “I may use the tree and birds elsewhere in my craft room for fun.”
